RS 3 Sportback

Thrilling at record speed.

Thanks to the powerful 5-cylinder TFSI with 294 kW (400 hp) and a maximum torque of 480 Nm, the new Audi RS 3 Sportback reaches the 100 km/h mark in only 4.1 seconds. Externally, the Audi RS 3 Sportback demonstrates its power in the form of a concise Audi single-frame grille with a glossy black honeycomb structure, large air intakes and edged skirt attachments.

The 2.5 TFSI is not just an engine but a promise. The top speed can be optionally raised to 280 km/h. The unique sound of the 5-cylinder with the firing order 1-2-4-5-3 amplifies the emotional driving experience. The engine sound is created by the alternating firing of directly adjacent cylinders and cylinders further away from each other. The lightning-fast, seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission directs the forces to the permanent quattro all-wheel drive. With 294 kW (400 hp), the engine achieves 33 hp more than its predecessor and is 26 kg lighter thanks to, among other things, its aluminum crankcase. Thus, the RS 3 Sportback sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The maximum torque of 480 Nm is between 1,700 and 5,850 rpm and ensures exceptional engine power over a very wide speed range.

The quattro all-wheel drive, fitted as standard, and the seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission ensure more dynamics and fewer compromises. The drive torques are distributed variably between the axles - the sportier the driver is on the road, the faster and more often the majority of the torque reaches the rear axle. The track width on the front axle measures 20 millimeters more than on the A3 Sportback, the wheel arches are correspondingly further apart. In addition, the RS-specific electronic stabilization control has a Sport mode that allows controlled drifting - for a decisive advantage on any surface. With the standard vehicle dynamics system 'Audi drive select', many components, such as the steering, the engine management system and the switchable exhaust valves can be completely adapted to the individual driving style.

This is what ideal lines look like.

The Audi RS 3 Sportback is at its best from every angle. The Audi single-frame grille with a three-dimensional honeycomb structure and quattro logo, the large air intakes and the edged skirt attachments are an expression of exceptional dynamics. The contoured RS-bumper makes the front look even wider. The optional glossy black styling package sets additional accents on the front spoiler, the frame of the Audi single-frame grille and the trim of the side windows. A striking roof spoiler accentuates the rear; the concise diffuser insert with vertical struts and the large oval tailpipes of the RS exhaust system complete the picture. The 19-inch cast aluminum wheels with a 5-arm rotor design and the optional ceramic front brakes also make its performance clear. Even if the new Audi RS 3 Sportback is already out of sight next time you blink.

Always the best starting place.

As standard, the driver is greeted by lighted sill plates with RS 3 lettering. Sports seats in black Fine Nappa leather with RS logo are standard; more contoured RS sports seats with integrated head restraints are optionally available. It's sportier still with the RS-Design Package: red contrasting stitching accents the interior, for example on the door armrests, the floor mats and seat belts. The flat-bottomed RS multi-functional leather steering wheel with shift paddles ensures that the driver has everything under control. The fully digital instrument cluster 'Audi virtual cockpit' shows all information on the 12.3-inch display - and if desired in a special RS-screen, which puts the rev counter to the fore.
