The Audi A3Consistently efficient

Start-stop system
The start-stop system reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by switching off the engine when the car is stationary. For instance, if the driver halts the car at traffic lights, moves the gear lever to neutral and takes their foot off the clutch, the system shuts down the engine (currently available for Audi A3 1.4 TFSI and Audi A3 1.6 TDI 77kW with manual gearbox).

S tronic
The S tronic gearbox brings a significant fuel saving. In the automatic mode, its control function performs gearshifts swiftly and times them for optimised fuel consumption. The huge spread of ratios covered by S tronic allows the top gears to operate at very low engine speeds.

Energy recovery
